In your opinion is the cancer research 'race for life' charity raiser discriminative against men?

This charity 5k run is (as you may or may not be aware) limited to women only.

My arguement against is that this acts under the massive assumption that women only get breast cancer whereas (although uncommon) it is a condition which men can get also.

If you lost your mother/wife/daughter (whatever) to breast cancer, surely you'd want to help raise some cash for it through this supported event.

To my knowledge there isn't a 'men only' prostate cancer charity run... and I wouldn't consider that fair if there was.

Over to you for your thoughts?

In your opinion is the cancer research 'race for life' charity raiser discriminative against men?
i agree with you. i think that cuz the men are in the minority, they just ignore them....... just wait though a male celebrity will get breast cancer and them everyone will change their views
Reply:Organise some men-only runs. There's prostate cancer, testicular cancer and cancer of the bowel is mainly a male disease. The only reason there are women-only runs is that they can be bothered to organise them.
Reply:Agreed! But to be fair after my last prostrate exam I hardly felt like running. Damn German Dr's. with their big fingers!!!!
Reply:Well I hope so
