Creationists: should cancer research also be dropped due to error?

It has just been discovered that the wrong type of cancer cells have been studied for the past 20 years.





Given that creationists seem to think that evolution theory should be dropped due to minor setbacks, errors and hoaxes, should cancer research just be stricken off as a failure and left at that too?

Not a failure, shouldn't be dropped, but research is also not a replacement religion. Same with evolution.
Reply:I believe there is a cure for cancer, but the pharmaceutical companies rather keep us sick.....if we all were cured of our diseases they would be broke.

Reply:If Darwinian evolution (as opposed to microevolution) is true, it will withstand any criticism that creationists can throw at it. Evolutionists should not be intimidated by valid questions about how evolution works.
Reply:Two thoughts: Creationists don't just point out the setbacks and hoaxes, but they also point out valid alternative theories to evolution instead of hailing it as the end-all be-all theory.





Re: cancer... of course research should continue, but much like the evolution issue, possibly scientists have been going in the wrong direction and should possibly re-evaluate the direction that they've been taking.
