Why does cancer research cost so much money when it a global problem with so much reward?

Its sad to say but its a business like anything else. I makes you wonder if they ever do( or have) find (or found) a cure would they really make it public. The way the world is today I'm afraid it would be more of a concern all the jobs that would be lost, instead of all the lives that could be saved.

Why does cancer research cost so much money when it a global problem with so much reward?
pardon me if i sound jaded. my brother recently died from leukemia.

the cures are known and they are simple and they are inexpensive. those that make the big bucks, the medical professions, the pharmaceutical companies, the insurance companies etc, keep the information from being utilized. sad but true.
Reply:There is no money in the cure.
Reply:I don't understand how the size of the problem should affect the cost of the research.

Please add more to your question if you want an answer.
Reply:Chemo drugs make the big pharm boys and investors over one trillion dollars per year! Cancer is BIG business buddy. Cancer is an issue that can be corrected with nutrition, not drugs.

Read my cancer testimonials on my page and help those you know and love :)
Reply:Because research scientists are inherently greedy.
