Cancer research from Russia !?

I've done a little research on this new compound NOV-002, that is being forwarded for clinical testing by FDA.

This drug has been developped in Russia and has been in use there since 10 years under the name Glutoxim. The most interesting fact is what it actually is : an oxidized form of the body's powerful detoxifiant glutathion. An increase in glutathion has been proven to help the body get rid of toxins, and also to upregulate the immune system. It would also appear that a high level of glutathion in the body would sensitize cancer cells to chemotherapy while protecting normal cells !

This drug appears very promising from the results I have seen up to now. The problem is that it is being pushed by a relatively small pharma, and there is not much publicity, and because of that, they are having trouble recruiting patients. That and the fact that research from Russia is slowly being lost due to lack of funding... (see research on bateriophages)

Cancer research from Russia !?
There are clinical trials available. Just a reminder that there are many, many promising new drugs and treatments. This one happens to target Non Small Cell Lung Cancer and Ovarian cancer.
