Depends in what capacity. Any Life Science would do for a Clinical Research Associate (CRA) post with one of the major pharma companies -- they recruit constantly. If it's research you want, Pharma is a good start. If you want to be involved in dealing with the patients, then an oncology pharma sales role is an option - they prefer Life Science but will consider strong personalities who are able to assimilate clinical information well.
What kind of degree would I need to get into a field where I could do research on curing cancer?
You only need a degree if you want to be one more evil pill and chemical pusher....your cure for cancer is live unprocessed food.
Reply:MD. PhD in chemistry? Laboratory worker (I forget the degree for that).
