This essay is for a summer research program for the American Cancer Society and it needs to be under 300 words. I just want some ideas to get me started. The prompt just asks why i want to be a part of their program. I would be conducting laboratory research on cancer and then presenting my findings.
Any help would be appreciated.

How this will help you in the future.
Since you're applying for this, you must want it, so be honest! If you just add stuff that you think they'll want to hear, they'll probably get bored.
