Is inducing cancer in test animals for scientific research a sin?

How far could we go with playing around with these poor animals :'(

Is inducing cancer in test animals for scientific research a sin?
I don't believe in sin. But I think that people who do that should have cancer induced in them.
Reply:I don't agree with it.
Reply:Sin is all about intent!

If the intent is to torture the poor little creatures - hell yeah it's a sin! But if the intent is to help find a cure to cancer - then it's not.
Reply:The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the one.

Without that testing, we'd be decades behind in cures.

Sad fact.
Reply:harming others is a sin , in fact since humans are so imperfect everything we do is a sin. you can't get away from it.
Reply:Its sick and should be stopped, but I don't know if its a sin.
Reply:Would you rather those products weren't tested on animals and instead just given to humans?

That's the only other option.
Reply:It is not a sin, but it is very cruel, there are plenty of people with cancer, they don't have to give it to the poor monkeys.

I would not be able to sleep with myself, had I done such a thing
Reply:It is a sin, bad Karma, unethical or whatever you want to call it, it is just wrong.
Reply:I don't know if it's a sin but it's definitely wrong. Perhaps using animals for cancer treatment research is beneficial to humans but what I find absurd is using animals for cosmetics testing. That's not only inhumane but should be against the law........
Reply:Nope it's just a crappy thing that has to be done so they don't do it to convicts anymore. Well..... that we know about.
Reply:Yes, it is.

Inflicting pain on a living thing is completely wrong.
Reply:If it saves a human life, it's no worse than killing for food.
Reply:Q: How many white mice am I willing to let die to save my six year old son?

A: All of them.
Reply:Not a sin, but I HATE to think of it. *cries*
