Is this a legit organization for donating money's for cancer researh ? I have no information on them
burcop@verizon.net Thanks
Is American Institute For Cancer Research.1759 .St,NW,Washington,DC 2009.legit? Burcip@verizon.net?
This organization is promoting bad information. A good example of this is their stance on soy. They are making claims that research is showing the soy fights cancer and listing things like tofu. This information is totally bogus. Soy does a lot of damage to the body and definitely does not fight cancer. They also list phytic acid as a good thing. Phytic acid is contained in grains. The ancients found long ago that you must soak grains over night to make them healthy. The ancients didn't know that is was the phytic acid in the grains that the soaking got rid of, but when they soaked the grains the breads were much healthier for people. This is true today. Phytic acid binds with many minerals in the body and depletes the body of calcium, magnesium, iron, and many others. It definitely is not a cancer fighter!
Cancer is 99% caused by infections and what they seem to be promoting is not legitimate. I would not give them any money or listen to what they have to say. There are many scams like this that look legitimate, but are not. Buyer beware.
good luck to you
Reply:Both the poster "onlymatch4u" and the American Institute for Cancer Research are propagating inaccurate (and sometimes blantantly false) information. BTW, a BA is in nutrition and chemistry is worthless. If you want qualifications, talk to someone with at least a MS in biology.
If you wish to donate money for cancer research, I suggest a more mainstream organization like ACS.
