Do you know someone affected by cancer?

This year, my town is involved in the Relay for Life. In this event, people in the community can form teams to raise as much money as they can and donate the proceeds to cancer research. If you are in any way impacted by cancer yourself or know someone who is, or just want to help, please (!) go to my team's website and donate any amount of money to Kayla Frost. YOUR DONATION COUNTS! Please, help end the plight of millions of people around the world with cancer! They need you!

If you read and want to share a story about cancer, or/and are planning to donate, please respond. (2 easy points anyway if you just post that you read it at all!)

Do you know someone affected by cancer?
My father died from stomach cancer 17 years ago. Unfortunately, technology is not what it is today, and he kept getting misdiagnosed. My grandfather was diagnosed with melanoma last year. He is ok for now. Cancer is a horrible disease, I hope that they find a cure for it soon!! It has impacted my whole life since I was 15, it is awful!! I now believe that early detection is the key to living. Women: please get a pap smear and a mammogram every year. And always check yourself for breast cancer every month. Men: Be aware of prostate cancer and other types of cancer that you may get. Most men do not like going to the doctor, but if you want to live, then you must suck it up and get regular check ups. That is my story. Good luck to you!!
Reply:Hi Kayla. I'm so excited that you are participating in Relay For Life in your community. It's an amazing event for an amazing organization...I know...because I work for American Cancer Society.

I'd love to help you out, but I have 4 relays of my own. I suggest asking family, friends, and local businesses for donations rather than asking here. You'll probably have more luck! Have fun FUNdraising!
Reply:It makes me really happy to see people trying to raise money for cancer patients. I had an uncle who had cancer in his pancreas and liver, but unfortunately for him it was too late to get therapy and he lost his battle against cancer 3 years ago. I will definitely visit your web site and see what I can do! :)
Reply:OK...My MIL
